Sponsor a class: Be Seen - Be Safe!

The Sponsor a class programme has been devised with the specific aim to ensure children are safer when travelling to and from school as well as at leisure, on the roads in the United Kingdom.

The SAC Visibility Kit was created in Switzerland and contains:

• 1 x High visibility waistcoat

The reasoning behind the kit; go to ‘Why wear a SAC Visibility Kit?’

The programme is specifically geared towards sponsorship and support from local business communities and individuals. The reason for this is to remove any obstacle preventing children receiving the SAC Visibility Kits due to economic, social or other influences, therefore there is no financial burden placed on the parents or school, only the desire for the parents and schools to ensure the children wear their SAC Visibility Kit.

The cost to sponsor an average class of 28 pupils in the UK is £360.00 including delivery and VAT. This is based on a cost of £10.00 per kit. The class receives the kits within 7-10 days of the sponsorship. The sponsor receives a certificate noting their valuable contribution to the community as well as a listing on the SAC website linking to their company. Generally sponsors can offset this cost against tax. The price per kit to help protect the life of a child based on an annual cost is approximately £0.03p per day. Daily use of the kit during winter, consuming a Luminous stick and Spot glow, will generate an annual cost of £0.37p per day, based on a 3 month winter period.

Sponsor a School. Corporate sponsors may wish to express their generosity in a wider format and choose to sponsor a school. This would be an excellent gesture as all members of the school receive the SAC Visibility Kit at the same time. This helps to heighten the sense of road awareness thus promoting a culture of road safety.
